Review: Lea Salonga shines at PNE Summer Nights
Many Filipinos consider Lea Salonga as the Philippine’s finest entertainment export. Salonga is a successful Broadway actress, an accomplished singer, and a respected movie artist. She’s a Tony winner and has appeared in a number of TV shows in the US, including ER.
Last Sunday (August 28, 2011), I had the opportunity to watch Lea Salonga for the first time. Salonga was in Vancouver to perform at PNE Summer Nights.
Lea Salonga sang through her 90-minute set without missing a note. Tackling a good mix of classics from her back catalog and a number of covers, Salonga impressed the crowd of mostly Filipino-Canadians.
