Calvin Harris enlists Ne-Yo in new single “Let’s Go”
After giving Rihanna the biggest hit of her career, Calvin Harris is now ready to take the spotlight. The 28-year old DJ just premiered his single “Let’s Go”, and it is a total club banger.
Featuring RnB artist Ne-Yo, this track is clearly meant for radio — the build up to the chorus, the faster pace in the chorus, and the slow down in the bridge are all things you’d expect from the biggest dance hits of today.
Although “Let’s Go” doesn’t quite have that breezy sound of “We Found Love, Ne-Yo’s smooth vocals flow easily here. And the song doesn’t involve an annoying rapper.
Truth be told, this song is bound to invite some comparisons with David Guetta, but I guess that’s okay. “Let’s Go” is following a formula, but it’s a formula that works.
Love it or hate it, you’ll find yourself dancing to this song after a few drinks in the club. “Let’s Go” isn’t quite revolutionary, but it may be exactly what Calvin Harris needs to release today in order to take his career to the next level.
