Lady Gaga - Marry The Night - Music Video

“Marry the Night” is one of the few tracks from Lady Gaga’s Born This Way that I am obsessed with. The song has a ridiculously hot instrumental break, and I love that the entire song is totally dragalicious. So imagine my happiness when it was revealed that the song was going to be the next Gaga single!

The visuals for “Marry The Night” leaked tonight, and I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed. Frankly, most of the things we see here have already been done. Dancing on top of a car while some stuff are burning on the background? Reminds me a lot of Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love”. Nudity while in the bath tub? Didn’t Gaga herself just do that for the “You and I” video? And as much as I don’t want to go through the Madonna comparisons again, Lady Gaga’s resemblance to the the legendary pop star is just so obvious that I have no choice but to mention it.

The long introduction — the song actually doesn’t kick in until after 8 and a half minutes — is also a little pretentious. Do you really want me to believe that Gaga had nothing to lose? Please! We all know she came from a well-to-do background, so getting dropped by a record label was definitely not the end of the world for her.

On the bright side, the choreography for “Marry the Night” turned out well. I was a little worried after hearing word that Lady Gaga fired long-time collaborator Laurieann Gibson.

Oh, and also, Lady Gaga looks good. She looks sexy without looking anorexic. Love her body!

Ugh, what is up with Gaga and her crazy long music videos? I wish she’d just get right to the music!

I adored the choreography and how she looked in the dance studio! And I see Mark!!! <3

    Oh… yes , Mark. :D

She keeps disappointing. An extremely long meaningless intro with no purpose but to set locations for 3 minutes of dancing and an even less meaningful outro. The character (which is not necessarily Gaga) rambles some nonsense using smart-sounding words like “quantum mechanics.” What is this? Is this supposed to be art? There’s neither a story nor an emotion that these 14 minuses deliver. Just disappointment and a feeling of wasted time.
